I was able to successfully reboot my nearly dead old laptop and pull the code out. If you have access to the computer you had Make the Cut installed on you can use these instructions to attempt to retrieve the registration code. According to several users on the forum, the user has not responded to anything on the forum for over 5 years at this point (writing this 12/2020). I also have not received an answer via their support ticket system. I used their automated system and it did not work. The forum and site are up now, I was unable to get any assistance from the owner for getting my reg key. The developer has allowed the site to come and go it is currently up and you can download the software, though there are reports in the forum that the new serial numbers no longer work. You also need to install the pccplugin which you have hopefully saved on a thumb drive somewhere. If you upgraded your copy of make the cut past MTC 4.1.0 it can’t be hacked to work. Eventually the software was locked down and the code needed to make the software able to work with the cricut was locked out. Googling the company shows several lawsuits. Make the Cut was tied up in court for years. Well that was fun, until Provocraft decided they didn’t want third party software controlling their machines. I was able to cut anything I wanted and items of my own designs. Way back in 2009 or even further back I picked up a copy of Make the Cut a fabulous software that let me control my Cricut craft cutter. 3/11/2023 0 Comments Paul weller facebookHe also played trumpet on Big Boss Groove for the Groovin' single EP. Stewart also played on studio recordings for the number one album Our Favourite Shop - performng trumpet on album opener Homebreakers and album closer Walls Come Tumbling Down, along with Flugelhorn on A Man of Great Promise. Sadly Chris is no longer with us, but it was so nice to hear Stewart's memories of his friendship with Chris in out chat. He was a huge part of that live sound - together with Billy Chapman on sax and Chris Lawrence on trombone. From his time as principal player of the Hampshire Youth Concert Band to the band Rye and The Quarter Boys and those special years with The Style Council. Throughout his career, he has created music in a wide range of styles – jazz, classical, rock, pop and it was a delight to dig in to his memories. He joined the band as an Honorary Councillor in 1984 for the Council Meeting Part 1 Tour, and stayed all the way up to the Wembley Showbiz gigs at the end of 1985. Stewart is such a talent - a fabulous trumpet and flugelhorn player, and brass arranger, who played a key role in The Style Council's early years. I am delighted to be joined by Brass Musician and Arranger, Stewart Prosser on this 130th edition of The Paul Weller Fan Podcast for what was a hugely enjoyable chat. In 2023, Richard will be publishing books on the Faces, Slade, The Beatles, The Who and Pink Floyd. You can buy the book, co-written with Neil Cossar (the fella behind the award winning web site and publisher - This Day in Music) here. He has also co-written a book about the semi legendary indie band The Wedding Present with lead singer David Gedge and worked with Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark on their book, Pretending To See The Future. Richard has previously created books the Rolling Stones, The Beatles, The Who, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix (all of which are compilations of fan memories of seeing these legendary artists live). Told by the perspective of fans, promoters, studio engineers, photographers and support acts the book includes personal photographs, memorabilia, anecdotes and stories that have never been published before. With memories from the earliest shows at clubs and pubs around Woking and London, UK and North American tours through to their last ever gig in Brighton in December 1982. With a foreword written by Jam drummer Rick Buckler, this book tells the story of The Jam in the words of over 300 fans. On this episode of The Paul Weller Fan Podcast, I’m joined by author, Richard Houghton - one of the people behind the book - The Jam - The Day I Was There. 3/11/2023 0 Comments Are ghost realStill, she doesn’t believe that the spirits have bad intentions. That's not all: According to Morazzini, lights turn on and off by themselves, doors open and close, and handprints appear mysteriously on the windows. “I was just like, there is no explanation for that whatsoever. One night when Morazzini was closing the inn by herself, she heard footsteps walking directly above her on the second floor. Other ghosts are said to haunt the old inn including that of John Stone himself, who Morazzini said didn’t die there but is believed to be “watching over” the place. You didn’t see the little girl?’ And the dad said, ‘There was nobody there, it was just me and you, buddy,'" Morazzini recalls. “He’s like, ‘She was sitting right next to me. When they came back inside, she overhead the father reassuring his son that there wasn't anyone else outside - despite the fact that the son claims he'd seen a little girl sitting beside them. Though murder wasn’t uncommon in the late 1800s, the fact that they were bludgeoned to death with an ax and the main suspect was their 32-year-old daughter, Lizzie Borden, certainly was.Īccording to Morazzini, a father and young son went outside to watch the trains go by while attending a private event at the restaurant. The next day, he posted the photo on Instagram, half-joking that he’d captured a ghost and the world took notice. 3/11/2023 0 Comments Song sing github avatar cropprKeywords: Aerial Systems: Perception and Autonomy, Motion and Path PlanningĪbstract: This paper contributes a novel strategy towards risk-aware motion planning for collision-tolerant aerial robots subject to localization uncertainty. NTNU - Norwegian University of Science and Technology Risk-Aware Motion Planning for Collision-Tolerant Aerial Robots Subject to Localization Uncertainty The proposed architecture is experimentally validated on an Omnidirectional Micro Aerial Vehicle (OMAV) both in free flight and interaction tasks. The LLE is then used in combination with Control Barrier Functions (CBFs) to impose power limit constraints on a jerk controlled system. By actively computing this metric, divergent and possibly dangerous system behaviors can be promptly detected. This approach is based on the computation of the Largest Lyapunov Exponent (LLE) of the system’s error dynamics, which represent a measure of the dynamics’ divergence or convergence rate. The safety layer is implemented independently and on top of already present nominal controllers, like pose or wrench tracking, and limits power flow when the system's response would lead to instability. To deal with these concerns, this work presents a safety layer for mechanical systems that detects and responds to unstable dynamics caused by external disturbances. Last, as emergency response stakeholders are often skeptical about using autonomous systems, we suggest adopting a variable autonomy paradigm to integrate autonomous robotic capabilities with the human-in-the-loop gradually. Furthermore, robotic platforms and modules should aim to be robust and reliable in addition to their ease of use. Specifically, the main degradation in performance comes from the cognitive and attentional demands on the operator. Additionally, we provide insights and suggestions for advancing disaster response robotics based on these observations. We present a systematic description of the equipment used the robot operators' training program the field exercise and robot tasks and the protocols followed during the exercise. Other drivers dont typically whip around haphazardly either they respond to pileups, brake when approaching sharp turns, and offer a reasonable challenge. Its far easier to maneuver around the race courses and edge your way in and around other opponents from this perspective. While sitting in the drivers seat offers a pleasantly realistic view of the action, your car and the track environments also look slick from the third-person view. Running GTR Evolution at a steady framerate at max resolution and graphical settings requires a high end graphics card, but the game performs well and still looks fabulous on medium settings. Simply put, the sights and sounds are topnotch. Dashboard and mirror vibrations provide a greater sense of the power under the hood thats punctuated by the blasting roar of the engine every time you slam on the gas and shift into high gear. The meters and gauges pulse with power, and the scenery rockets past in your rear view mirror. Every turn of the steering wheel provides a realistic visual response inside and outside the car. The cockpit of each racing machine is full of detail and many appreciated subtle nuances stand out. Exclusive road cars from prestigious brands. You will find that and much more in GTR Evolution, including the legendary Nrburgring Nordschleife, the fabled 22,8km long racetrack in Germany. Extreme versions of the already spectacular World Touring Cars. Once you get behind the wheel in the first-person view, the game takes on a life of its own. 49 unique cars in 12 classes over 500 combinations. The most beautiful GT’s. Whether you want to sit down for a quick session in an R-Cade Extreme session, run a time trial, fire through a full race, enter into a lengthy championship, or go online and challenge human opponents, the racing options are plentiful. What does all this mean to the racing layman? Theres a lot of rubber to be burned. The game packs in 49 highly detailed cars in 12 different classes (including sports, formula, GT cars, and even extreme WTCC vehicles among others), 19 tracks from numerous countries (including the intimidating and infamous Green Hell of the Nürburgring Nordschleife), and a strong mixture of play modes to suit different levels of interest. To this aim, there are plenty of features here to awaken your inner gear heads. Without a story or career mode to speak of, the straightforward simplicity of thundering engines and ferociously competitive racing is front and center. Conversely, players seeking the thrill of an increased challenge will get a lot of mileage out of GTR Evolution. The learning curve is not insurmountable, and the high-octane racing is extremely addictive with time and practice, but the ultra real physics have the potential to make the game a frustrating experience for anyone other than serious racing game enthusiasts. Novices may initially find the game to be so realistic that its virtually unplayable. The downside is racing a car at high speed along a windy track is incredibly difficult to pull off both in real life and in GTR Evolution.Ĭasual racers and those coming into the genre for the first time expecting to quickly jump in and get motoring along are in for a serious shock. The racing titles box touts its unrivaled realism as a major selling point, which definitely is reason enough for folks to pick it up. In some ways, and for some players, GTR Evolution is a prime example of this. However, there are times when striving to make the experience a little too realistic can actually hamper a games appeal. You'll feel all the speed of your car and its response that complies with the laws of physics and depends on how you've set the different options available.Realism certainly has its place in video games its an ideal many developers push towards and a feature players typically come to expect as technology advances. My hands were on the keyboard, the collective gaze was upon me and I was waiting for the word “GO.” When it was uttered, I nervously double clicked the Word icon and typed out the phrase with fumbling fingers. As I sat down at the computer I noticed that Xosé was holding a stopwatch. Then I was to name the document and save it to the desktop. I was to open Word, type out a short phrase and select a specific word from that phrase in order to bold and italicize it. I was randomly chosen from the audience and agreed to get up in front of them to perform a simple daily task. During the presentation the desktop of a portable computer was projected onto a large screen for the audience to see. This point was driven home to me in a workshop on resource optimization for freelance translators given by Xosé Castro after a translation conference in Montevideo, Uruguay. By learning to use keyboard shortcuts rather than reaching for your mouse, you will be amazed at the time you can save. Usually you won’t be given as much time as you’d like in order to carry out a project, but one thing is certain: if you can produce more in less time you will make more money. One of the key variables affecting daily output is effective use of time. How many words can you translate in a day? This is not an easy question to answer because there are many variables involved that can affect your daily output. Optimizing your Time with Keyboard Shortcuts |
